Mass communication is the study of how individuals and entities convey information through mass media to large scale of the population at the same time. It is different from the studies of other forms of communication, such as interpersonal communication or organizational communication, in that it focuses on a single source transmitting information to a large group of receivers.

The study of mass communication is based on how messages persuade and affect the behavior and opinion of the person or people receiving the information. Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication

Course: Degree program,  UGC Affiliated University

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility: Class 12th. Those appearing in 12th exam also eligible. Admission subject to clearing of 12th exam.

Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communication

Course: Degree program

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility: Class 12th with minimum 55% marks. Those appearing in Board exam may also apply. Admission is confirmed only if they pass the exam with a minimum of 55% marks.

Master of Journalism & Mass Communication

Course: Degree program, UGC Affiliated University.

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline. Final year students are also eligible. Admission is through an entrance test and interview and is confirmed only if the student clears graduation exams.

Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC)

Maximum Duration: 4 Year

Eligibility: Graduation in any stream and two-years experience in media/communication organisations in positions such as script writer, reporter, sub editor, photographer, technical Assistant, PRO etc.
