NLU is the abbreviation of National Law University, New Delhi, was established in 2008 by Act No.1 of 2008 of National Capital Territory of Delhi. The aim of this university is to form a Global Legal Institution to contend with the best in India and to train lawyers a bright legal carrier across the globe. The University campus is at Sector 14, Dwarka, and New Delhi with all facilities loaded for best of learning and research. The university offers 5 years integrated B.A, LLB (HONS) degree programme, LLB, Ph.D. The application forms are filled up during the month of March- April. The exam is conducted during the month of April.

  • Candidate must have passed Class XII exam or any other equivalent exam with minimum aggregate marks of 50%.
  • This Eligibility Criteria for the foreign candidates is 65%.
  • In order to take admissions at NLU, the candidates must pass the NLU exam and get enlisted in the Merit List.
  • Candidate must be less than 21 years of age. The age limit for SC/ST candidates is 23 years as per the relaxed norms of NLU Delhi .
  • Candidates, who are waiting for their final results, must submit their mark sheet at the time of admission in case to be eligible for admission.

Exam pattern: The exam consists of 150 questions bearing 150 marks each carry one mark. The exam consists of six sections:

General Knowledge

Current Affairs, Economics, General Science, History, Geography, Civics

Legal Aptitude

Elementary Mathematics

The exam pattern states that the general category need to score minimum 40%, and ST/SC category need to score minimum 30% in the entrance exam in order to qualify in the exam.

How to apply:

There are two modes for applying, one is online application and other is offline application. The processes of both the modes are given below:

Online application:

Before filling up the application form online the candidate have a valid email id, a valid mobile number and a scanned photo (.gif, .bmp or .jpg format) having size not more than 150 KB.

  • Then the next step would be submission of form fee by the given methods of fee remission:
  • When the payments of form fee are received then the candidate will be sent acknowledgments in his/her email id which should be printed out and put by him/her as the proof of Application Submission for NLU Delhi.
