ILSAT known as ICFAI Law School Admission Test is conducted by ICFAI Law School. IFCAI or Institute of Chartered Analysts of India is a non-profit education society which is recognized by the University Grant Commission. This Law School is a Part of ICFAI University which is located in Dehradun and has a aim of equipping the young lawyers with best legal knowledge.

It is a five year BBA.LL.B Law program with due approval by the Bar council of India. Besides the integrated Law degree, this institute offers undergraduate bachelors degree in Business Administration (BBA). The ICFAI Law School is known for its excellent standard of education and the modern facilities it offers to students. The admission in this Law School is through merit list and every year the ICFAI conducts the ILSAT entrance exam to choose students for its BA.LL.B program.

Eligibility


The candidate should have passed 10+2 exam with at least 50% of marks or candidate having an equivalent degree recognized by the Law School are eligible for ILSAT. The age should not be more than 20 years as on the date of commencement.

Exam pattern


The admission test is based on objective type questions in multiple choice formats where there will be 150 questions which are divided into five sections.

Syllabus


English language- This section will test the candidate's proficiency in English, grammar and basic comprehension passage. Grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentence and comprehension sections consists of questions on candidates understanding of passage.

General knowledge- This section tests the students on current affairs and also some of the questions are based on the events which have asked in the preceding one year from the date of CLAT examination .

Legal aptitude- This section test the candidates basic legal acumen. Questions will be framed with the legal preposition. Some preposition may not be true. Candidates will have to assume the truth of this preposition and answer the question accordingly.

Numerical ability and Reasoning- This section test candidates only on elementary mathematics i.e. the math taught in class 10. Candidate must be able to use matriculation level mathematics formula, their tricks and short cuts to solve problems. The logical ability segments tests a candidate's intelligence, speed and quotient level. This section contains questions on rate of interest, speed, distance & time and probability.

How to Apply

Candidates can collect application forms directly from office or can request from the university through mail. Candidates are required to fill the application forms and send it to the admissions officer at a given address. Or candidates can download the applications from the official website, complete it and send it to the admissions officer with a demand draft. The candidates are required to fill the applications form and send it o the admission officer through speed post or courier on or before the last date for BBA-LL.B program.
