BITSAT is an online exam which held every year for the admission in included its first degree programs of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, which stands as “BITS” also. BITS Pilani is a university, having its campus at three places- Goa, Hyderabad and Pilani.The courses offered in BITSAT Entrance Exam are- B.E. (Hons.), (Hons.), and (Tech). The candidates who have taken admission in (Hons) can do the double degree based on their performance after completing their first year at Hyderabad, Goa or Pilani. And those students can complete their dual degree in 5yrs only.

The eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2013 require the candidates to have scored total of 75% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and a minimum of 60% in Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry taken separately. The students, who have completed their 12th class examination in 2011 or before that, are not eligible to give the BITSAT entrance exam of 2013 and the students who are appearing their 12th class examination in the same year 2013 can give this entrance exam. The students who are already studying in any of the campuses of the BITS pilani are not qualified to give the entrance exam. Taking admission for any of the courses under BITSAT 2013 will be only granted on the marks get in class 12th. The time duration for this entrance exam is 3 hrs.

Payment Options for BITSAT:

  • Through Demand Draft (DD), the female candidate will pay Rs1350/- and male candidates will pay Rs 1850/- and send to the admission officer of BITS Pilani-333031

  • The candidates who are opting for Dubai as their Exam Center then they have to pay US$50 in spite of Female/Male Candidates or Rs2500 in Indian Currency.

  • The BITSAT have 4 section of question paper:

    • Section 1- Physics
    • Section 2- Chemistry
    • Section 3- English & Logical Reasoning
    • Section 4- Mathematics

    • The question paper consist 150 objective types. The each correct mark consist 3marks and 1 wrong answer will deduct -1 to the candidates. The questions consist from each section are:

    • Physics - 40
    • Chemistry – 40
    • English & Logical Reasoning – 25
    • Mathematics – 45

    • The important notice for the students while attempting the exam is, they can go back and change their answer if they think the answer is not correct and after attempting 150 questions the more 12 questions are also framed to score more marks. If you are attempting the extra 12 questions then you can’t go back and change the answer of 150 questions which have given in the exam. The one who are giving the exam, they have to download the hall tickets from BITSAT. The questions are in different sets, so the students have to bring pen for rough work and signing etc. Calculator or log table are not provided in the exam hall. The syllabus of entrance exam is same as NCERT syllabus of 11th and 12th. As soon as the candidates complete their exam the result is announced as CORRECT and INCORRECT responses and individual score too.

    How to Apply:

    The student who appeared for the BITSAT exam and satisfy with the criteria of 12th class marks and wants to apply for the course then they have to submit an admission application form with their 12th class mark-sheet and the choice of course. The candidates should apply ONLINE for BITSAT by registering on BITSAT and paying the fees. The candidates should conserve a photocopy of the filled form for future communication.
