ALL INDIA LAW ENTRANCE TEST (AILET) is conducted on National level to take admission into undergraduate and post graduate courses in Law offered by National Law University (NLU), Delhi which is a five year program. Candidate who want to pursue post graduate level legal course have to appear for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET).

The eligibility for AILET for 5 year B.A. LL.B program is that candidate should have passed senior secondary school examination (10+2) or equivalent examination with 50% marks. Candidate waiting for the results of the qualifying examination can also appear for the test. Age should be less than 21 years (23 in case of SC/ ST candidates.

For LL.M program candidate should have passed LL.B with 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ ST candidates). The candidates appearing in the final LL.B exam are also eligible.

For Ph. D program candidate should have LL.M degree with 55% marks or equivalent (50% marks in case of SC/ ST candidates with disability.)

All India Law Entrance Exam is a multiple choice based exam with negative marking. It consists of 150 questions of one mark each which has to complete in 1 hrs & 30 minutes. AILET exam consists of questions from following topics:

  • English language
  • General knowledge
  • Basic mathematics
  • Legal and logical reasoning
