The Bar Council of India conducts AIBE (All India Bar Exam) entrance Test every Six months. It has become compulsory for all law graduates from the academic year 2009-2010 onwards to clear the AIBE entrance test for practice law in India. This test is conducted first time in the year 2010 by the Bar Council of India. The main aim of this entrance is to improve the quality of the future lawyer’s. The “certificate of practice” is send to the address of the candidate who cleared the AIBE test within 30 days after the result. A candidate can appear many numbers of times for this test because there is no limit to the number of times a candidate can appear for the AIBE.

Candidates can apply for this test only after enrolling as an advocate under section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961. And submit the proof of the enrolment with the application form.


This exam is an open book test this means that the candidate may bring any study material like books, textbooks and hand written notes to the test center. But candidate cannot bring any type of electronic device like laptops, mobile phones, FM-radio or any recording devices to the examination center.


The subject in this test is taken from the Syllabus that is follow by the Bare Council of India for three and five year LLB programs. The topic for this test is administrative law, company law, environmental law , family law, human rights law , labor law, law of tort including motor vehicle insurance , taxation law and public international law etc.

In the test paper there are also 23 questions will be asked from this category.


Step 1: Fill the registration form carefully on the official link of AIBE (

Step 2: login in to the respective account (

Step 3: Print the "bank challan" after logging in to your account.

Step 4: Fill the bank challan and submit it along with the application fee at the nearest branch of State Bank of India (SBI). Make payment only a day after registering because the registration is effective only 24 hours.

Step 5: Wait until you get a payment acknowledgement (it takes approximately 12-24 hours). Then print your application form by logging into your registration account.
