Sc in computer science whereas either a science or commerce student can go for BCA. B.Sc Computer science:

It is a degree course of 3 years. It can be considered as a simple academic course. This course mainly deals with soft computing and placing of mathematical and theoretical concepts. Moreover students of B.Sc computer science learns about programming language, algorithms, Computer Architecture and Organization, Data Algorithms, Data Structures and dealing with new techniques and boosting them to invent new ones. Here the student also learns details about hardware components of the computer and apart from that also about Database Management Systems, C Programming, Computer Fundamentals, UNIX and Java Programming etc.

Opportunities: After completing this course one can get higher education and be a lecturer or get absorbed in various IT and software companies. Bachelor of computer application is also a degree course of 3 years.
