Google Launches Online IT Courses in India, Will Offer Scholarships
On September 21, the online education company Udacity along with the giant search engine Google has launched the IT courses in India. The duration of these degrees would be between 6 to 9 months and the fee of the course would cost Rs. 9,800/- per month. If the student is able to complete the degree successfully then the company claims that it would return 50% of the tuition fee. It is an online course and the lessons would be provided by Google instructors from United State.
It is aiming to give quality education in India where there are 3.6 million app developers, which stands second only after US. The Google instructors who are based in US would be focused on the software training on mobile operating system development as well as app. For the course, Google, Tata Trust along with Udacity are planning to offer 1,000 scholarships. According to the report of NDTV all students would be invited for a job fair that would be conducted by Google in India after the completion of the course.
In order to qualify for the scholarships from the Udacity , first you have to enroll yourself in a Nanodegree, and then you have to be in compliance with Terms of Service of Udacity until you become graduate. Within 12 months of your most recent enrollment date you have to complete the program. Those students would not be qualified whose employers reimburse or cover the cost of the program.
